I think I'm turning Japanese. I think I'm turning Japanese. I really think so.

So I said goodbye to my F-150 Friday. It was a close race between the Honda CRV and the Saturn VUE and the Honda won. Facing the fact that Honda had outdone a US manufacturer was tough to deal with. I have always tried to buy American but just couldn't do it this time. There was no vehicle in the class I was looking at that scored better than the CRV. The VUE was nice and the deal was fabulous but in the end the gas mileage and the ride of the CRV was just better. I'll have a solid dose of self loathing for buying a foreign car to deal with but as my trips to the gas station decrease so will my self loathing. Also the VUE was mostly put together and manufactured in Mexico and Canada, not the US. Trina and I celebrated my purchase by having Sushi for lunch Friday. Today I plan to continue my conversion by watching a Kurosawa movie and listening to a podcast discussing the first volume of "Buddha" by Osamu Tezuka.

I finished reading "Dead Beat" by Jim Butcher. On to the next Dresden Files book, "Proven Guilty". I'm a junkie for detective/wizard stories.

Until next time.

If the price of gas was directly correlated with the salary one makes, then you should feel bad. But unfortunately, that is not the case. Did you get a 2008 model?

Yeah it is a 2008. It reminded me a lot of zipping around in your Jetta back in the the pre-pdx days.
