I saw the Hurricanes lose to the NY Rangers Tuesday. I wrote a song about it. Wanna hear it? Well, here it go.
The Good:
- Hmmm ... brief signs of life scattered through skating in quicksand.
- Ruutu continues to impress. I hope he can do this with the canes for more than one season.
- Staal is getting bottled up. We need another scoring threat on his line or teams will just key their defensive efforts toward shutting him down.
- The Hurricanes have 51 points of a possible 98 for around 52% of the possible points they could have attained.
- The maximum number of points the Hurricanes can obtain now is 117.
- The total number of goals allowed this season is 145 which yields an average of 2.9 goals a night.
- The total number of goals scored is 123 which yields an average of 2.5 goals a night.
- The Hurricanes are in third place in the South East Division behind the Florida Panthers by one point and ahead of the Tampa Bay Lighting by seven points.
- The Hurricanes are in tenth place in the conference one point behind the Pittsburgh Penguins and seven points ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
